Schalmont Youth Football/ Dante Gallucci
||$2,415 To Go!|
On October 4, 2013 the Schalmont Youth Football Program will be hosting a Comedy Night Fund-raiser at Mallozzi’s Ballroom in Schenectady, New York.
Proceeds from the event will contribute towards expenses to run the football program, including game uniforms, pre-game meals, safety equipment, game day attire, digital video equipment used as a teaching tool & to assist in college recruiting, helmet and shoulder pad reconditioning, travel expenses & end of year banquet & awards ceremony.
Additionally, proceeds from the event will go to offset the medical cost of 15 year old Schenectady resident Dante Gallucci, who was diagnosed with T- Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma.
On May 30, 2013, a few weeks after getting his wisdom teeth out, the lymph nodes in Dante’s neck were quite swollen, which led to an onset of testing and the devastating diagnoses of T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Thanks to the “hurry up” offense at Albany Medical Center, Dante is currently in remission, but has another 2 ½ years of treatment to be sure of a “win”.
Life has changed drastically for Dante. Instead of intense training with his football team, Dante is making daily visits to the hospital for chemo, blood work, spinal taps, bone marrow and blood transfusions. His “rival” is no longer one of our local sports teams, it’s a formidable opponent called “CANCER”!
If you can't attend the event we hope you will still join in our efforts in supporting the Schalmont Youth Football Program as well as helping alleviate the mounting medical expenses for Dante Gallucci.
Good Luck Dante
